Today we lost our queen, Mia the English Mastiff, too cancer. Mia was rescued from a small puppy mill where she was being used for puppies in the spring of 2017. We had just come off the awful tragedy of losing our Mastini - Gus Gus, and Mia made that day in April our rescue day not her rescue day as she leaned into us the second we met her.

Over the last five years Mia warmed our hearts with her thumping tail, her affectionate lean, precious smile, and ability to drip water or slobber wherever she went. Her favorite food was cheese, but she always enjoyed snacking on whatever we gave her. She despised thunderstorms and fireworks and despite being the largest dog in the county when scared she would find a way to hide in one's arms or lap. She also had a knack for knowing when it was time for everyone to go to bed. At 8:45 p.m. like clockwork she went upstairs to sleep in the master bedroom. Once there, you could hear her snores throughout the house!

 

Mia was adored by her surviving dog-mother, dog-father, three teenage dog-brothers, and pet siblings Mack, Jules, and Berkeley.

P.S. Thank you for going the extra mile with her cremation. Her urn is beautiful and we thank you for providing this service for pet loved ones in the area. Mia was a cherished member of our family and it is nice to have her home again.
